Every Caldera release. When something ships, Caldera also shows its owner a short alert inside Obsidian. Follow along with the RSS feed.

Fix: first profile publishes in about a second (was up to 90 seconds)
Creating your profile from the Welcome screen could sit on 'Publishing...' for up to a minute and a half while Caldera waited for Obsidian to finish indexing. It now checks directly and publishes right away. Every later publish is faster too.
If publishing fails, the Welcome screen now says why, and it comes back next time you open Obsidian until your profile is live.
If you installed Caldera and your profile never appeared, run 'Caldera: Set up my profile (welcome)' from the command palette.
0.3.12
AI usage shows where your tokens come from
When your AI agent reports more than one source (for example coding agents on several machines and your apps' APIs), the AI usage section shows the split. Counts only.
0.3.11
One-tap invites, and your photo as the browser-tab icon
'Invite a friend' on your leaderboard now opens an invite panel: copy your personal invite link, or send it by email, text or your phone's share sheet.
Friends who use your link land on the install page and see who invited them.
Your page's browser tab now shows your photo as a round icon (and on phone home screens). Pages without a photo show the Caldera mark instead of a blank globe.
0.3.9
Activity heatmap you can read: hover any day
Hover or tap any square on the Activity heatmap to see its date and count instantly. The line under the chart shows the day you're on and rolls back to today when you move away.
Click a day to pin it; arrow keys move between days, Escape returns to today.
Month and weekday labels, and today is outlined.
0.3.7
A richer Timeline: chapters, detail lines and a connected rail
Timeline entries can carry a short second line: Year | what happened | detail.
Group your story into chapters with era | Name | 1995-2006.
The timeline now draws as a connected rail with a dot per milestone; a repeated year is shown once.
Ask your AI: 'Rebuild my Caldera timeline from my notes, in chapters, with a detail line per milestone. Public facts only.'
0.3.6
A working Vault sidebar: links, folding groups, note counts and an On this page guide
Sidebar items now link: a project opens its site, a public note or topic jumps to it on your page. Items that match nothing stay plain text.
Groups fold and unfold, and show how many items they hold. Add a folder to a group (Group | items | folder) to show how many notes that folder has - a count only, file names never leave your vault.
Empty groups are hidden instead of showing a bare heading.
New On this page list at the top of the sidebar jumps to every section and highlights where you are as you scroll. On phones it becomes a sticky bar of section links that follows along.
Optional: in Caldera/profile.md, add a folder to a sidebar group, e.g. "Concepts | | wiki/concepts".
0.3.2
Stronger privacy: journal lines that look sensitive are never published
Caldera now checks every journal line before publishing and drops any that mention other people's names, meetings or their times, places and addresses, secret or unannounced work, money, legal, health, HR or family matters, or contact details. Only names you already made public on your page (your projects, topics and links) are allowed.
All AI prompts carry one stricter privacy policy: never reveal who you met, where or when, secret projects, or anything that could get someone in trouble. When unsure, leave it out.
New Learn pages at caldera.social/learn answer common questions about Obsidian profiles, private sharing and AI agents.
Nothing to do: the filter runs automatically on your next publish.
0.3.1
Invite friends from your page, and a Caldera bar on every profile
Every profile page now has a slim Caldera bar at the top: the logo goes to caldera.social and 'Get your own page' goes straight to install. Visitors who arrive this way see who invited them.
The 'Invite a friend' rows on your leaderboard open a ready-to-send invite email with your page and install link.
New signups and deletions can alert the hub operator by email.
0.3.0
Full living profile: three columns, AI usage, activity, growth, projects, code and timeline
Three-column layout: a Vault sidebar on the left, a local graph and backlinks on the right. Choose what they show in Caldera/profile.md (sidebar, graph, backlinks), or leave them empty to show your topics and public notes.
New sections: Summary, Now, Timeline and Projects, written in Caldera/profile.md. Links like [[Label|https://...]] and **bold** work.
Activity heatmap (26 weeks) and Growth chart, computed from your vault. Counts only.
What it knows, Inbox to knowledge and Code (GitHub) sections, filled from Caldera/activity.json by your own tools or AI agent.
AI usage: total tokens, tokens per day, and your model and provider mix as charts. Your AI agent fills it from local Claude Code and Codex logs - counts only, never prompts or costs.
Scoreboard now shows a leaderboard and your best other days.
Fixes: dates use your local day (not UTC), and link counts wait until Obsidian has finished indexing.
Run 'Caldera: Edit my profile' and fill in summary, now, timeline and projects - or paste the 'change my profile' prompt into your AI.
0.2.0
Edit your page by talking to your AI, a People directory, and What's new alerts
Your public fields now live in a note, Caldera/profile.md. Edit it, or ask your AI agent to, and your page republishes itself about a minute after you save.
New copy-paste prompt: 'Change my profile'. Paste it into Claude Code, Codex or Cursor and describe the change.
People directory at caldera.social/people. Switch 'List me in the directory' off in Settings or profile.md to stay link-only.
One-screen Welcome: pick a name and handle, and your profile publishes and opens in your browser.
What's new alerts like this one, shown only to you, inside Obsidian.
Fixes: publishing on caldera.social, and note links written in properties now count toward your stats.
Try it: Command palette -> 'Caldera: Edit my profile', or 'Caldera: Copy AI prompt: change my profile'.
0.1.0
Caldera is open: the social layer for Obsidian
A living profile built from your vault: daily journal, activity score, topics, public notes.
Friends between vaults, end-to-end encrypted shared notes, asks and offers with help credits, and positive-only gravity.
Private by default: nothing leaves your vault unless you switch a section on or mark a note caldera: public.
Copy-paste AI prompts to install Caldera and run your daily journal.
