Add a GitHub city badge to your README
Caldera gives every GitHub account a README badge at caldera.social/gh/<username>/badge.svg that shows public repos and commits in the last year and links to your GitHub city. Add ?style=card for a larger skyline card. Members can use caldera.social/@<handle>/badge.svg.

Copy the snippet
Replace you with your GitHub username and paste into your profile README (the repo named after your username):
For the skyline card:
Members: use your page
Once you sign up, use your handle so the badge opens your live city: https://caldera.social/@handle/badge.svg. The snippet with your own handle is in Settings, ready to copy.
What it shows
- Public repo count and commits in the last year, from public GitHub data.
- No private repo names, ever.
- Cached for about an hour, so it stays fast on your profile.

Questions
Is the badge free?
Yes.
Will it slow down my README?

Does it work in other places?
Anywhere that shows images: READMEs, personal sites, docs.
What does it link to?
Your GitHub city preview, or your live Caldera city if you use your member handle.
